Dear Reader, Thank you for visiting Kidz'n Maine! As we look forward to many exciting changes in 2008, including our continued expansion into the Midcoast region and increasing our visibility, we want to send heartfelt gratitude to the following people who have helped Kidz’n Maine so much to grow this far. Advisory Board Members David Dubinsky with his family.
David Dubinsky has enjoyed volunteering with Kidz'n Maine in the launch of its website and print publication. He found Kidz'n Maine invaluable for recommending high quality activities and resources for his two young children. In the seven years since moving from Los Angeles to Maine, David has served on several boards and in a marketing capacity for Maine non-profit organizations. He serves on the boards of the Children's Museum of Maine, and Levey Day School, a Jewish day school in Portland. He served as Vice President for the Jewish Community Alliance (JCA) of Southern Maine where he launched its website and was recognized with the Aronson Young Leadership Award for outstanding contribution to the community. His volunteer efforts continued with the design and launch of websites for Congregation Bet Ha'am, AFSMaine and Levey Day School. David has over sixteen years of marketing management experience growing product and brands in the consumer products and financial services industry at Nestlé, Natrol, and Wright Express. A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BA in Linguistics and Business Administration concentration, David resides in Falmouth, Maine with his wife, Alice and their two children, Zachary and Hannah. I wish David and his family a blessed and safe journey and sabbatical. Thank you so much for your tremendous support and enthusiasm. Jennifer M. Lechner with her two kids.

Jennifer Wiessner with her two sons (one in belly.)Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who came to Maine from New Jersey two years ago for a better lifestyle. She lives in the amazing community of North Yarmouth with her three year old son, Keji, and husband, Greg. Shortly after settling in, she was tapped to lead the Cumberland/North Yarmouth Family Network. During her time guiding the CNYFN, she has served as a resource for other family networks throughout Maine as well as a liaison to government and non-governmental organizations. Building healthy societies and families is her passion and something she has done for over ten years as both a mental health professional and community advocate. Once the newest addition to the Wiessner family is born, Jennifer plans to increase her commitment to her neighbors by starting a therapy practice with another mom who is also a LCSW Cumberland/North Yarmouth. The practice will focus on the mental health needs of adolescents, families, women and those afflicted with alcohol and drug dependencies. In her (limited) spare time, Jennifer loves to be outdoors with her family, organize Family Network events and cook. Thank you all so much. I feel so fortunate to be working with such wonderful people. Over this first year with Kidz’n Maine, I have learned so much about resources for kids in Maine and have met so many wonderful people who feel very strongly in their own ways about giving the best they can to our future, to our precious kids. More and more we are trying to tap into this diverse community and share the information with you here and also on our website. Feel free to contact us to let us know about the great things happening in the communities around Maine. We wish you a blessed New Year!
